The Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) has updated the Citizenship Application forms for adults and children. If you are making an application for naturalisation you must use the new forms, as applications sent in on the old forms will not be accepted.

The latest Form 8 for an adult, 18 years old and older, is Ver 5.0 Jan 14. The latest version of Form 9 which is submitted by a naturalised parent on behalf of their minor child is Ver 5.0 Jan 14.  Form 10 and Form 11 are eForms and should be completed electronically, when you click on the link on the INIS website it will bring you to the latest version of the eForm.

There are changes to the postal addresses to send applications for citizenship. New applications for adults should be sent to Citizenship Applications (Adult), PO Box 73, Tipperary Town. New applications for minors, Forms 9, 10, 11, should be sent to Citizenship Applications (Minor), PO Box 12079, Dublin 1. If  you have already submitted an application on behalf of a minor child before January 2014 all correspondence should be sent to Citizenship Division, Department of Justice and Equality, Chapter House, 26-30 Abbey Street Upper, Dublin 1.

You can find the new forms and further information on making an application for citizenship in the Citizenship Section of the INIS website
