Dublin 15 Mentoring Programme for migrant newcomers and established residents
Applications accepted until March 15th
To assist in the promotion of an integrated local community in the Dublin 15 area the Crosscare Mentoring Programme facilitates one-to-one non-judgmental relationships in which newcomers who are migrants and longer established residents voluntarily share time over a 3 month period. The Programme will help to initiate and support mutually beneficial one-to-one agreements and relationships with an agreed focus such as:
- sharing an interest or hobby
- information on the locality such as accessing various services
- to gain a greater understanding of another culture
- professional mentoring around a course of study or work role
- to develop social contacts and friendships
- mproving language skills
The Programme is a roll-out of the Immigrant Council of Ireland (ICI) mentoring programme initiated in 2009.
