There is still time to apply for the successful Opening Power to Diversity (OPD) scheme which matches volunteer migrants and new Irish citizens with TDs and Senators. The closing date has been extended to Monday 28th October at 5pm. The OPD scheme which was launched last year, and is now in its fourth term, has been endorsed by the Taoiseach as 'an innovative way to involve immigrants to our country in its political life'. Over a six month period beginning in January 2014 participants will get a unique and valuable experience and insight into how politics works in Ireland by observing and assisting the TD or Senator in his/her daily work. Follow this link for more information on hwo to apply for the OPD scheme.

This project is co-financed by the European Commission under the European Integration Fund
